Your signature as a marketing tool

Almost everyone in business today has an automatic signature on their emails. It usually contains their contact details (as well as a paragraph or two telling you not to print the email).

Why not use your signature for an extra little marketing boost? Include a link to your latest product or service, add a tip or slogan, or promote your online newsletter.

You’ll find your signature settings in Outlook on the Tools menu. Go into Options, and then click the Mail Format tab.

Bonus
Set a reply signature at the same time, for all the emails you reply to or forward on. Setting a regards, cheers and your name – or whatever your normal salutation is – will save you from having to repeatedly do it afresh with each email.
