Do what you say you will do

If you want customer longevity, they need to trust you. Their trust is earned by doing what you say you are going to do. It is easy (and tempting) to talk up your business to impress prospective customers, but if you overpromise and underdeliver you will disappoint your
customers and destroy their trust in you. That will discourage them from paying the prices you want to charge and encourage them to tell others about how you let them down.

Process failure

Performance failures are usually caused by flawed processes. Make sure your processes are robust enough to allow you to deliver on your promises. When you fail to deliver, resist the temptation to make excuses or to blame your staff. Look at your processes, find the cause of the failure and fix it.

Your customers want results not excuses.
