Make a flow chart of what really happens

The purpose of making a flow chart of your processes is to see where you can improve your performance so you create a better customer experience. Show the way the work actually gets done now, not how it should be done. When you have finished, get the team to suggest better ways of doing things. Create a new flow chart showing these changes. This will be the way things should happen in the future.

Don’t be surprised to find different people do the same task in different ways. Make a flow chart of all the different approaches and then get them to agree on the best way to do it in the future.
