You probably have more to do with your staff than with your business’s customers. If you look after your staff and treat them well, they will be motivated to look after their customers.

Sam Walton, the founder of Wal-Mart, the world’s largest retailer and one of the world’s largest companies, used to say there is a three-week gap from the time you start treating your staff properly to the time they start treating your customers the way you want them to.
