Tell the truth

Many companies lie. Cosmetics company L’Oreal was recently found guilty of using a model wearing false eyelashes in an advertisement for a product to lengthen eyelashes. Freedom Air cannot accept silver coins because their bank won’t let them – which their bank denies. I’m told the courier has failed to deliver an order that I later discover was never sent. The list goes on.

Think long-term
Do you want long-term customers? If you mislead or lie to your customers, you’ll make the sale today but lose them tomorrow. They’ll lose their trust and take their business elsewhere.

Be transparent in everything you do, speak plainly and admit your mistake when things go wrong. Have no hidden charges or complicated rules that can trap your customers. You will build trust, develop a great reputation and earn the respect and loyalty of your customers.
