Personalised email merge

If you are sending out a newsletter or marketing email, don’t send one email with everyone’s names in the carbon copy (CC) or blind carbon copy (BCC) fields.
Instead, create a personalised email merge by sending separate emails to everyone on your distribution list all at once, each with their own name. In other words, instead of one email to 100 it’s 100 emails to 100, each personalised. How?

You have two choices. In Microsoft Office Word, it’s one of the distribution options in the Letters and Mailings – under the Tools menu. Microsoft Office 2007 has its own mailing ribbon. The email merge hooks up with Contacts, Excel, Access and many other databases. Alternatively, you can run it through Outlook Contacts, under Tools and then Mailings, merging with the contacts you select. Both options use Word to type out the email. Rest assured, it’s sent as an email, not a Word document attachment.

I know your next question. Sorry, the answer is no. Unfortunately, you cannot add attachments onto a personalised merge.
