Database goldmine

As Tip 45 (the first in this section) pointed out, one of the very best business decisions you can make is to develop an information-rich database about your customers, prospects and business referrers.

Look at your database. Is it simply a mirror? Does it only reflect information pertaining to the business that people do with you? The more information you collect and store that is relevant, the more successful you’ll be in adding value to your relationship and increasing
your business with clients.

Every month, Facebook will send you an email with the birthdays of your ‘friends’. Use this to your advantage with clients and prospects by sending them a card or happy birthday email. They might wonder how you ever found out!
